University Examination Dates
Students must take these dates into account when booking holidays and making other Summer vacation plans.
General Assessment Information
Modules are examined at the end of the semester in which they are taught. There are no examinations scheduled on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Examinations are usually scheduled in weeks 13, 14 and 15 of each semester. There may also be a limited number of postgraduate examinations earlier in May.
2011-12 Semester 1 Examinations Period
The 2011-12 Semester One Examinations will take place between Monday 23 January 2012 and Wednesday 8 February 2012 (inclusive).
2011-12 Semester 2 Examinations Period
The 2011-12 Semester Two Examinations will take place between Saturday 2 June 2012 and Friday 22 June 2012 (inclusive). Please note that exams will not be scheduled on either 4 June or 5 June (the University will be closed for the Bank Holiday period). Neither will exams be scheduled on any Sunday during the period.
Future Examination Periods*
Students are expected to be available throughout these periods.
The 2011-12 Special Assessment Period Examinations will take place between Wednesday 29 August 2012 and Friday 7 September 2012 (inclusive).

Examination Timing (Semester One & Two)
There are three examinations sessions per day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday), beginning at 9am, 1pm and 4pm.* (*Candidates in the Central Extra-Time Venue will start examinations in the final session of the day at 3.45pm rather than 4pm).
Examination Timing (Special Assessment Period)
There are two examinations sessions per day in the SAP, beginning at 9am and 1pm.
Examination Conduct
If you submit an appeal after the exams in relation to your academic performance, or are subject to an allegation of academic misconduct, it will be assumed that you were aware of the conduct for examinations. It is therefore important that you take the time to read the information carefully. If you are a first year student, it is especially important for you to be aware of these procedures as they may differ from those you have experienced elsewhere.

Very Important: Use of Calculators in University Examinations
Please read this very carefully
Only calculators on the "Approved list of calculators for use in University examinations" will be permitted in the examinations venues. If you bring a calculator that does not appear on the approved list it will be confiscated by an invigilator and you will not be offered a replacement.

Occasionally, we need to make changes to the timetable due to circumstances beyond our control
There are currently NO corrections.
