Electronic Expression of Licensing Terms |
|
Electronic Expression of Licensing Terms Funded by: Book Industry Communication Project investigators: Steve Probets and Charles Oppenheim Duration: May 2006 – July 2006 Description: This short project investigated the advantages that electronic expressions of licensing terms would have to the academic library community. Librarians were asked to outline the difficulties that they currently face when dealing with licenses and how various technical solutions would benefit them. The results of the study were a key input into the development on the ONIX for Licensing Terms (OLT) language which began development in 2006 and enables the key usage terms of a licence to be expressed in electronic form.
