Description:

The aim of the project was to understand the information needs of Hospital Social Workers. It was perceived that there was a gap in the provision for this group of personnel. The research centred in the East Midlands. Focus groups were used to understand a gain a perspective of the views of the Social Workers. The findings revealed that the Social Workers had broad Information needs , yet these could be complex or simple, context was the key. Services for this group of personnel were indeed found to be poor. Recommendations were made for improving services
