Title: Knowledge ‘evangelisation’ practices in multinational corporations

This study continues the author’s previous research and professional practice in the fields of Information Science, Knowledge Management and Computer Science. More specifically, research previously carried out in a large computer software corporation has led to a better understanding of the information and knowledge processes within a global organisation and has identified the need for better practices and applications in order to meet the current demand.

This research aims to identify improved knowledge management solutions and propose appropriate remedies to problems not obvious to system designers. More specifically, this research aims to investigate and clarify the needs and demands for better knowledge management practices in the context of critical projects and developments. Understanding and examining such practices will in itself improve the overall efficiency and functionality of current operations within technology intensive organisations.

In addition, a secondary aim is to focus on qualitative factors which are believed to be important in the ‘knowledge-creating company’. This holistic approach is another way to think about knowledge and its role in business organisations having as key objectives to improve innovative capacity, enhance operational functionality and upgrade service quality.
