Dissertation Topic
Nietzsche & anarchism.
Academic Background
I am currently doing my doctoral research, concerning Friedrich Nietzsche and the Anarchist Philosophy, at Loughborough University (Department of Politics, History and International Relations), having completed my BA in Applied Physics and Mathematics (Equivalent to MSc) at the National Technical University of Athens (Greece) and my MA in Political Science and Sociology at the National University of Athens.
The aim of my research is to explore the elective affinity between Nietzsche and prominent anarchist, autonomous and libertarian thinkers – such as Bakunin, Kropotkin, Goldman, Castoriadis, Benjamin – on a philosophical basis. Moreover, I intend to use the nietzschean philosophy, on the one hand, as a tool to review basic anarchist historical incidents and anarchist thinking, on the other hand, to re-examine the most important philosophical concepts of the German thinker.
My research is supervised by Dr. Ruth Kinna.
Interests
I am a member of the Greek Christian Anarchist Group ‘‘Akeldama’’ and very interested in reviewing the connection between Christianity and Anarchy. I am also co – editor of the Greek theological and philosophical magazine ‘‘To the Unknown God’’ since 2005 and take part in various activities of several anarchist collectives and groups in Athens.
