ECPR Standing Group on the European Union
The Group was created in 1995 to promote co-ordination among political scientists interested in the blooming area of research on the European Union. The action of the Group - led by a twelve-member Steering Committee - covers the organisation of workshops, panels and, prospectively, conferences and publications.
The Group is convened by Professor Erik Jones (Johns Hopkins) and the institutional support is provided by Dr Rob Dover and the Dept. of Politics, History and International Relations, Loughborough.

The most important recent activities of the Group have been the organisation of two conferences and a school:

Important future activities (that are underway) are the reactivation of the electronic newsletter of the group and the establishment of a journal connected to the standing group.
