Current research interests
My research interests are focused around theories of migration, diaspora, transnationalism, and nationalism and the dynamic, grounded nature of people’s lives, identities and politics and the spaces and networks they create and maintain in the process. I am also interested in Palestine-Israel and debates on current issues and future solutions.
I have conducted research on the cultural and political identities and spaces of diasporic Palestinians in Athens, Greece and am currently conducting research on a variety of themes including the impact of UK immigration policy on higher education, issues of surveillance and the identity and incorporation of transnational migrants in rural and urban Greece.
