Partnership on copyright - Knowledge bank & advocacy

Funded by JISC & SURF

Project investigators: Professor Charles Oppenheim, Dr. Steve Probets,

Duration: April 2005 – Feb 2006

Description: This JISC/SURF funded project built on the RoMEO project and enhanced the functionality of the SHERPA/RoMEO database of publishers’ Copyright Transfer Agreements (CTAs) to enable it to be searchable on Journal titles. It also developed a controlled vocabulary for analysing CTAs.

A second aim of the project was to develop a copyright toolkit which could be used to educate authors, academics and administrators in the importance of carefully managing copyright during the scholarly publication process.
