Entry requirements

We are looking for applicants with good academic records which would qualify them to teach Design and Technology, Physical Education or Science in secondary schools. Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching and the ability to relate well to young people in any capacity (but especially in a state secondary school context) are essential. The following personal qualities are also important: effective communication skills; awareness and sensitivity to others; a sense of responsibility; a balanced and positive outlook; and the ability to be: open-minded, enthusiastic, hard working, well organised and self-disciplined.

The selection process will determine whether you: have the intellectual capabilities needed to meet the QTS standards; possess appropriate qualities, attitudes and values expected of a teacher; can read effectively and are able to communicate clearly and accurately in Standard English.
