Innovative Manufacturing and Construction Research Centre

Successful completion of IMCRC research programme

The research programme of Loughborough University’s IMCRC, which ran from 1 October 2001 to 30 September 2011, has been successfully completed with over 200 research projects undertaken in collaboration with more than 400 organisations.

Details of this research are available via these web pages and directly from the academic staff who have contributed to the Centre’s activities.

Launched in 2001, the purpose of the EPSRC-funded Innovative Manufacturing Research Centres (IMRCs) was to provide a focal point for research excellence, collaborate actively with UK businesses and facilitate knowledge transfer and exploitation of research results; making a vital collective contribution to the future of the UK economy and society.

We would like to thank all contributors to the IMCRC’s success over the past 10 years. The new EPSRC Centres for Innovative Manufacturing and Loughborough’s involvement in the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) are a great legacy of the IMCRC, which will enable Loughborough academics to build on their IMCRC successes.

We look forward to your continued contact with Loughborough University and involvement in our Advanced Manufacturing Research projects to continue to explore new research initiatives.
