We ask you for information so that you can receive proper care and treatment. You may be receiving care from other people in the NHS. So that we can all work together for your benefit, we may need to share information about you. Everyone working for the NHS has a legal duty to keep information about you confidential. We only ever or pass information about you if people have a genuine need for it in your and everyone’s interest. The sharing of some types of very sensitive information is strictly controlled by law. Access to your Health Records Under the data protection act you have the right to see and obtain copies of your own health records. Please note that the practice has up to 20 days to comply with your request to receive copies of your medical records. There is a fee for this service. |
