Teaching Innovation Awards 2012
Applications are now closed and the 2012 awards have been made. The next submission date is expected to be in January 2013.
The Teaching Awards Scheme is one way in which the University recognises, celebrates and promotes excellence in learning and teaching. It provides a means of supporting academic and learning support staff in new initiatives and small pedagogic research projects that contribute directly to the quality of teaching at Loughborough. The Scheme is managed and administered by the Teaching Centre. Approximately £20,000 is available to fund the awards this academic year.
For 2012, Teaching Innovation Awards are offered normally to a maximum of £3000 but with the possibility to increase to £5000 for exceptional cases.
These awards are made to support practice-based pedagogical projects aimed at making a useful contribution to enhancing learning and teaching practice, and linked to the University’s strategic priorities. Applications are invited from both academic staff and learning support staff. Please consult the guidance document for more details.
Award recipients will be expected to disseminate their work internally, including presenting at the proposed University Teaching Conference. A final summary report on the project and its outcomes will be required by 31st July 2013.
Completed application forms should be submitted to your Dean of School or Head of Section for them to add their comments. It should then be sent by email to Jayne Spendlove, Deputy Centre Administrator, Teaching Centre (Email: j.l.spendlove@lboro.ac.uk; Ext. 228042).
