Impaired Performance

In line with wider Counselling and Disability Service policy, the Counselling Service is normally only able to provide evidence for an Impaired Performance Claim for a student who has been in counselling with the service prior to them starting the claim. There may be some exceptions to this, so if you are approaching the counselling service for this purpose please make that clear before making an appointment and we can discuss it with you further.
The supporting evidence we can provide would be a factual account of a student’s contact with the service and the nature of the difficulties presented. We may only be able to provide evidence of a student’s state of mind if we have had significant contact with them. We would normally expect to have sight of the student’s completed Impaired Performance Claim prior to producing their supporting evidence.
Before contacting us please read the Loughborough University Impaired Performance Policy. This will help you decide whether we may be able to provide evidence for your claim.
